Sat 10/04/10 - Fri 16/04/10 at Gilwell Park, Chingford

Prices: Residential - £440 or Camping - £295 (contact John Dickin)

This course covers the learning required for modules 5-9 and 11-19 of the Adult Training Scheme.  It aims to give you practical information, advice and support for running your Section.  You will try out new ideas and theories, and return home with a host of new skills that you will be able to directly apply to your role.  During the course you will have the opportunity to work with other Section Leaders from across the UK – both from your own and other Sections.  You will also have a chance to explore Gilwell Park and enjoy some social time with other participants.

The course covers the learning required for a Section Leader Wood Badge (excepting Module 10 First Aid).  You will still need to validate your training locally in order to achieve your Wood Badge.  To attend this course you need to have already completed your Getting Started training (Modules 1, 2 and 3).

There may be the opportunity to take part in one of the adventurous activities at Gilwell Park during the course for an additional cost.  If you might be interested in this option please indicate on your application form so that we know whether to organise it or not.

The course gives you practical information, advice and support for running your Section. You will try out new ideas and theories and you will return home with a host of new skills that you will be able to directly apply to your role. The modules covered are 5-9 and 11-19.

Applications will be taken on a first come first served basis, from 18th December 2009.  Please note that places will not be reserved until the deposit is received.

We reserve the right to restrict the number of participants applying from the same Group or Section – much of the benefit of this course comes from sharing experiences with other participants, and this is best achieved when people are coming from a variety of Groups.
