This form provides the information the County Lead Volunteer (or their nominee) needs to know of specific District and County activities taking place. If the activity you are organising is listed below, you need to complete it. If you are already completing a NAN form via the membership system, you do not need to complete the DAN form. For all other activities the County Lead Volunteer has delegated the activity approval to the District Lead Volunteer and no further reporting action is required by the County. In all cases, please ensure your District Lead Volunteer / District 14 – 24 Team Leader is aware of the event, where relevant. A Day Away Notification form is required if an activity meets one of the following criteria:
- Is outside the County
- Is a District or County activity where all sections have been invited.
- Is a District or County activity that requires an Adventurous Activity Permit
- Is a County activity with more than 50 attendees.
- Is a County adult only event.
The event must not go ahead until the County Lead Volunteer (or their nominee) has confirmed their approval.
DATA PROTECTION: This form is used to collect information about you and your team for the purpose of approving this activity, this is to be used by your County Lead Volunteer (or their nominee). As part of this form we collect personal data about you and your team, this detail is required so that we can check that everyone meets the membership and vetting requirements for the event and that appropriate permit holders are in place. We do not share your personal data provided in this form with any third parties. We take your personal data privacy seriously. The data you provide to us is securely stored (based on local arrangements) and we will keep the data we capture from this form for 2 months after the event for any queries that arise then it will be securely destroyed.
