Event Details

This is the first step towards becoming a British Canoeing Kayak or Canoe Coach. It will teach coaching skills useful for teaching young people and obtaining water activity permits. Some Canoe and Kayak kit can be provided. Some existing experience is required see information link or discuss with Helen. Full details can be found at.

The course is being run by an external instructor and is being subsidised by the County to help scout leaders become qualified. Numbers are limited to 6 participants and will be allocated on a first come basis.

Cost

£85 per person (this is a reduced cost as the course is subsidised by the County. Hence no additional training or travel claims can be made).

A prerequisite of the course is to join British Canoeing as a “On the Water” member.  This will cost £27 for under 18’s, £35 for 19 to 22 year group and £45 for those above 23. This cost will be met by the participant.

Joining instructions will be sent to participants closer to the date.
