The Volunteering Development Team supports our adult volunteers throughout their time in Scouting. The team will welcome and support volunteers into a team, support with learning opportunities to support volunteers in their roles and recognising our amazing volunteers for their time and contribution to Scouting.

The Recruitment Team helps to attract new volunteers into Scouting, through development of recruitment materials using the Scouts branded resources. The team will coordinate vacancies and potential new volunteers across the County liaising with District Recruitment Teams and Groups. They could be the first point of contact for many new volunteers and the welcoming face into Oxfordshire Scouts.

The Welcome and Support Team will support new volunteers as they join Scouts. From supporting with DBS checks, completing welcome conversations, discussing reasonable adjustments where required and introductions to County and District team members.
Welcome Team Leader Welcome Team Member
The Learning Team will support volunteers with all their learning requirements. The County team will work with District Learning Teams to share skills and experience to ensure a wide range of learning opportunities are available to volunteers across the County. The team will support volunteers in finding and engaging in the learning opportunities provided as well as ensure volunteers are recognised with the prior learning and experience that they bring to Scouts.

The Recognition Team will make sure volunteers are recognised and appreciated for their brilliant work. The team will contribute to the County Awards Advisory Group to ensure volunteers are formally recognised for their brilliant work, as well as co-ordinate informal methods of celebrating the achievements of volunteers.
