Time:- 9am-5pm each day (TBC)
Cost:- £80 (this is a reduced cost as the course is being subsidised)
British Canoeing Paddlesports Instructor Course
Location:- King’s Lock, Wolvercote
Number of spaces:- 6
Kit can be provided.
Existing experience- This is at the bottom level of the coaching/instructing scale so minimal experience required. We will need to get you on a Safety and Rescue course but we can offer those within county with Helen Farrow providing so we will sort that around your availability (any questions let Helen know).
This is aimed towards leaders looking to run occasional taster sessions or general getting out on the water (in contrast to the coach award which is for progressive development sessions) which will be useful for teaching young people paddling and obtaining/increasing paddling water activity permits.

Foundation Safety & Rescue Training x3 separate courses (1 day each)
Date:- 2nd July, 24th July and 30th July 2022 Time:- 9am-5.30pm
Cost:- £60 (this is a reduced cost as the course is being provided in county)

Existing experience- This is a safety training course so minimal experience required, but you will need to have done some paddling before in kayak or canoe (any questions let Helen know). This course gives you lots of useful safety and rescue knowledge and is needed for Paddlesports Instructor courses, improving safety for watersports sessions and obtaining/upgrading paddling permits.
